During my early childhood, I used to frequent Romatzo Beach restaurant with my father, creating unforgettable memories of swimming, fishing, and pure enjoyment. Some of the best culinary experiences included indulging in fresh calamari fried in olive oil, seabass, and octopus, along with the delectable combination of fresh fish and chips also fried in olive oil.

Ormidia village is renowned as the first fishing village in Cyprus, celebrated for its early spring nature potatoes and the finest pomegranates on the island. Yesterday morning, I revisited the area and captured the beauty of Romatzo Fishing Shelter in three photos. Situated in the English Sovereign Bases area, the shelter has undergone upgrades and enhancements supported by the European Union and the Republic of Cyprus.
