Accor Group’s mid-range hotel chain, Mercure, has entered the Cyprus market with the opening of Mercure Larnaca Beach Resort in Oroklini. The hotel, situated on the coast, welcomed its first guests on May 2. Mercure is known for combining an international network with authentic local hospitality experiences, with over 810 hotels in more than 60 countries.
The hotel’s design draws inspiration from the surrounding natural beauty of Cyprus, particularly the lake of Aliki, which attracts thousands of flamingos annually. The reception area features a stunning graffiti mural by a local artist, showcasing the landscape of Larnaka Salt Lake. The resort offers 60 rooms of various types, a spa, fitness center, outdoor pools, and a public beach. The KYMA restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on local products, and guests can enjoy cocktails at the M Bar, Lobby Bar, or Beach Bar.
The spa menu incorporates treatments using special oils blended with crystalline sea salt and scents from local botanical gardens. The hotel’s spa is open to the public, while the fitness center is exclusively for guests. The resort is also part of the ALL – Accor Live Limitless – loyalty program, offering a wide range of rewards, services, and experiences. The General Manager, Mr. Andreas Sofocleous, expressed excitement about providing guests with a unique hospitality experience and complete sensory enjoyment.
